Hello and welcome to a new addition to my blog which is ‘the beauty edit’. I’ve always been the type of girl to wear quite bold makeup looks; from the cat eye flick which I first started supporting in year 9 *side note – the way I do it now is very toned down from how I used to wear it. I’ve also always loved wearing bold eyeshadows and lipsticks; barely a day goes by where I’m not wearing a statement eye look or lip. So, when 3INA sent me the most amazing bundle of happiness as I’m going to call it, which Included an eyeshadow pallet, eyeliner, lipsticks and highlighter I couldn’t wait to start shooting some makeup looks…and possibly with some of my favourite photos to date that I’ve taken myself (thanks to the trusty tripod!)
For spring/summer I really wanted to come away from my usual colours which involve dark plums, burgundy and orange tonnes and instead opt for something a little more out there and unique. For someone who is constantly playing around and experimenting with her style my beauty looks do get neglected I must say and I end up always choosing the same ole things rather than trying something new. With the makeup from 3INA having fun with my looks will become a top priority as well as standing out with more than just my clothes; something that requires a lot of confidence but also something I feel I have.
The eyeshadow I used is the 105 pallet which includes blues, pinks and purples. I was instantly drawn to the teal blue which I knew would be the perfect eyeshadow to give me a dramatic eye and look amazing paired with my denim bralette. Covering my whole eyelid in the teal shade and along my lower lash line and then using the lighter blue to go along the creases and above my eye I felt like I wanted to contrast the colours… so I actually used the pink lipstick in shade 521 to add to the corner of my eyes, because I guess beauty looks have no rules! I also used the 2 in 1 pen eyeliner which is super easy to apply and helps to create the dream cat flick without any chance of smudging.
I have always been a red lip kinda gal and don’t get me wrong I think a red lip will always be my go to look, but trying this hot pink long-wear lipstick I do think my love for pink has come right back. I absolutely adore the fact it starts off as a gloss and within a few seconds turns into a matte finish; this lipstick isn’t budging from my lips anytime today.
The Just For Fun highlighter is extremely dewy which I BLOODY LOVE and blends in amazingly with my powder foundation. I think when you have a bold lip and eye look you don’t want to go to over the top with the rest of your face so I love how the highlighter can easily be blended in for days you don’t want to shimmer too much.
Stay tuned for the next beauty edit coming very soon…
